Abstract

Many deferent Kinds of the microcontrollers have been studied, also the main parts of them and how it can be programmed. The main idea to design a Digital Temperature System by using a microcontroller; it means that this system will measure and control temperature by using a heater and also a simple cooler, which are working with 220 ACV. The work is divided into two parts, one to design a digital temperature system and the other one to design and simulate a part from microcontroller by using VHDL.
The first part, studing the fifferent kinds of microcontrollers, and put a design for this microcontroller to work as a digital temperature system by using algorism diagrams. All diagrams have been transformed to assembly codes as a software by using { AVR studic 4 },which is compatible with the chosen microcontroller.
The seconde part, studing VHDL as a hardware description language, which can be used to design any digital system and studying its characteristics by using the simulator of the software.
