Abstract This study included 110 cases, 70 patients having bright liver during US examination and 40 controls, with normal echopattern of the liver, 74 females and 36 males, with age range from 21 to 67 years. The patients and controls are age and sex matched. An attempt was made to diagnose fatty liver US criteria depending on bright echogenecity of the liver, then full history was taken and complete clinical examination was performed. Body mass index was grade 0 in 40 (100%) of controls and was 18 (25.7%) and GI in 41 (58.6%) and 11 (15.7%) GH in patients and this is highly significant (p>0.001). |
