Abstract Because of the dramatic difference in cure between patients with local ovarian disease (80% ti 90%) and those with distant disease (15% to 25%). Screening to find early ovarian cancer or its precursors is desirable. The use of non invasive imaging techniques has improved significantly on the diagnostic accuracy of the bimanual physical examination for the detection of adnexal masses. The aim of our study was to test the hypothesis that a combination of a previously devised morphologic scoring and color flow directed Doppler measuring wiuld afford better discrimination between bengin and malignant ovarian masses. |
