Abstract Two field experiments were carried out during the three successive seasons of 1981/82, 1982/83 and 1983/84 seasons at the experimental farm, faculty of agriculture, El-Minia university,A.R. of Egypt. Experiment 1:effect of nitrogen fertilization levels and seeding rates on triticale and wheat: The objective of this experiment was to study the influence of four levels of nitrogen fertilizer namely:0,45,67.5 and 90 kg N per faddan and three seeding rates namely, 15, 30 and 45 kg per faddan for both triticale or wheat. Split plot design with four replications was applied.nitrogen levels were arranged randomely in the main plots and seeding rates were allocated randomely in the sub plots. Experiment 2 : effect of planting methods and seeding rates on triticale: The aim of this experiment was to study the effect of two planting methods namely : broadcasting and drilling and three seeding rates namely 15, 30 and 45 kg seeds per faddan. A factorial experiment with completely block randomized design with four replications was used. |
