Abstract
The main purpose of this work is to study the effect of waves on
bed changes in tidal inlets and show the bed changes due to this effect and
know the most variables those affect on bed change and study also the
length of bed which will be changed, through:
First: the tidal inlet hydraulics, characteristics of waves was
studied.
Second: a hydraulic model was constructed to study the effect of
the waves on the bed changes also to study the change occurrence at the
bed due to change in wave’s characteristics and quantity of flow and its
direction.
Third: summarization of that deducible were given and also the
developed curves :l:~d equations which can be used in similar cases of
inlet to predict by the erosion and deposition.
