Abstract The accumulation of two chlorinated hydrocarbon insecticides DDT and Dieldrin by three different bacteria ~Sarcina lutea, Bacillcus subtilis and Escherichia coli was studied. The bacteria were exposed to 0.1 ppm (0.1- ug/ml) 14,0 DDT or 140 Dieldrin fO’r a period of three hours at 0 controlled temperature 28 0 and pH 7. . |
