Abstract
Type 2 diabetes accounts for over 85% of diabetes world side , and is associated with an enormous amount of morbidity and mortality resulting from its micro vascular and macro vascular complications
Patients with diabetes have a 2-4 folds increased risk for the development of cardiovascular disease. Hyperlipidemia, and insulin resistance, arterial hypertension central (abdominal) obesity, smoking and microalbuminuria are independent atherogenic risk factors for cardiovascular disease in diabetes mellitus.
TGF beta 1 is one of the important factors that affect cellular proliferation, and was proved to have a crucial role in the development and progression of some diseases such as cancer and hypertension.
