Abstract This investiagtion was carried out at the Experimental Farm and Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Minia University, for two successive seasons 1993 and 1994. The aim of the research was to study the effects of two main factors, as well as, their combined effects on guar plants; A- fertilization with three sources of rock phosphate PR (Safaga, Sebaaia and Abou-Tartor), B- Spraying the plants with the auxin 2,4,5-T (Trichlorophenoxy acetic acid). Each source of Rock Phosphate was applied at three rates, 15, 30 and 45 Kg P20S/ feddan at two batches.control plants received no P fertilization Phosphorus fertilized and unfertilized plants were sprayed with2,4,5-t,three times at two weeks intervals as concentrations of 5,10 and 20 ppm. Control plants were sprayed with distilled water. At the end of the two growing seasons, data were tanken on individual plants ;on vegetative parameters, fruiting aspects, yield of guar plants, guaran percentage, guaran content and yield and other chemical composition of the plants. |
