Abstract
This work was carried out in the Research Station, Animal Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Minia University, Minia, during the period from October 1964 till
December, 1985.
The work was carried out to study the effect of ambient temperature and characteristics of feeds on the physiological reaction and reproductive performance of Bouscat rabbits. Sixty adult female and their offsprings were divided into two groups exposed to two different temperature conditions, the winter natural temperature withio the lab. (21°C) (control) and constant hot (30°c) conditions. each group was divided into 5 subgroups according to the feed conditions (Green Berseem, Berseem hay (B.h.), B.h. plus Vitamin E, B;h. plus Vit. A and B.h. plus Vitamin A + E•
In the 1st experiment, studying the physiological reac¬tion and reproductive performance, each subgroup included 6 does staying for 3 consecutive parities (littering). The offsprings were kept with their dams till weaning at 4 weeks of age (30 days). In the 2nd experiment each subgroup included 3 does for only one suckling period (30 days) for each doe, to study the milk yield as affected by the mentioned experimental conditions.
