Abstract
the intervertebral discs are fibro-cartilaginous structures wich lies between and separate the adjacent surfaces of two adjacent vertebral bodies each disc consists of a semiliquid central portion, the nucleus pulposus, two cartilage plates that separate the nucleus from the adjacent vertebral bodies,and a thick ring of fibrous tissue, the annulus fibrosus.
