Abstract Postoperative pulmonary complication is one of cardiac surgery complications, which influences significantly on health care expenditures. It has been believed that it results from the use of cardiopulmonary bypass machine, surgical incision, and postoperative pain. These pulmonary complications remain the most significant cause of morbidity and mortality. The improvement of pulmonary function in those patients was attributed to chest physiotherapy. |
