Abstract
The aim of the present work was to develop a computer system that would aid in the differential diagnosis of oral tumours, a system for patient’s record and that can also be used as an aid for teaching dental students. 200 cases, which were confirmed microscopically to be oral tunmours ( prospective and retro spective cases) were included in this study.
A sheet was created in a way that the patients’ case history was formalized and stored into the computer.
A list of the oral tumour included in the study was formalized and stored into the computer system.
A data base matrix for the computer system was obtained by filling similar sheets for each tumour from text books and previous experience of doctors
