Abstract Achillea millefolium,L.(yarrow) is one of the important medicinal and essential oil, containing azulene, plants grown in Egypt. Two different experiments were conducted in the farm of the faculty of agriculture, El-Minia university during the two growing seasons of 1981/1982 and 1982/1983.the aim of the first experiment was to investigate the effect of some agricultural treatments like planting season and methods of propagation on vegetative growth, flowering characters and oil percentage, yield and constituents of two types of achillea millefolium (which were introduced from two different sources). The second experiment, however, aimed to study the response of the first type of achillea (H) to different autumn sowing dates and various plant spacing and the influence of such treatments on the previously mentioned parameters. |
