Abstract SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION The various approaches for the surgical removal of renal atones, the problem of recurrent ren&l cal¬culi and the incidence of left over calculi were briefly discussed in the introduction of the present thesis. Various attempts to overcome this problem were mentioned with particular streas on coagulum pyeloli-thotomy. The principle, development, indications and limitations of the procedure were reviewed. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the technique of coagulum pyclolithotoniy for removing small free renal stones in the kidney. It waa carried out on 15 patients who were cate¬gorised into two groupa : (i) those having single or multiple small free pelvic or calyce&l stoneCs) and Cii) thoae having a pelvic atone with secondary caly- ceal atones. The study included 11 males (73*5 %} and 4 females (26.5 %} from different age groups, the youngest was a 7 year old boy and the oldest w&s & 4Q year old female. |
