Abstract
This study was carried on sixty psoriatic patients and twenty normal subjects as a control group.
These patients were selected randomly from the dermatological out patient clinics, Faculty of Medicine, Menofyia University and Sheibin El-Kom educational hospital.
The patients were divided into three groups according to the surface area affected with psoriasis.
from the analysis of the results of our study we can reach to the following conclusions:-
Serum total lipid was found to be significantly increased in psoriatic patients in relation to normal control (P < 0.05 ).
The value of low density lipoproteins was found to be also
increased in psoriatic patients in relation to normal control, but this increased value was not significant (P > 0.05 ).
- The triglycerides value was significantly increased in psoriatic patients in relation to normal control (P < 0.05 )The value of high density lipoproteins was found to be significantly decreased in psoriatic patients in relation to normal control (P < 0.05 ).
