Abstract
This study was carried out with the aim of evaluation of medical records in both u.s and m.s and also study of statistical indices in both facilities .medical records are important to hospital administration and to evaluate medical care so it must be complete and clear.however in this study most of the data of m.r were deficientespecially those of operative details, examination and some items of identification data (occupation & marital statues).inspite of this deficiency the data were better recorded in u. S than in m.s and this referred to the better appreciation of the use of m.r as tool for either teaching or researches .
