In most cases there was more than one presentation.Frankel scale was used for evaluation of the neurological condition of the patient preoperatively and assessment of the outcome postoperatively.
MRI was done for all patients to evaluate the site, size, extent and the relation of the tumors to the cord matter.
All the patients were surgically managed after taking consent and detection the site of the tumor.
All of patients were operated in a prone position.
After laminectomy and dural incision, the mass was removed if this mass was extramedullary and mylotomy was done in cases of intramedullary masses followed by good hemostasis and tight closure of the dura, lastly approximation of the muscles and closure of the subcutaneous tissue and the skin.
