Abstract This study involved 222 patients clinically and laboratory diagnosed as acute and chronic viral hepatitis (88,134 respectively) aged from 10-60 years and from both sexes.i 11- Serum samples were tested for the liver function tests to establish the diagnosis of acute and chronic viral hepatitis.2- Serum samples were tested for the presence of HBs-Ag and the presence of anti-HBc (IgG) by ELISA technique to establish the diagnosis of viral hepatitis type B.3- Serum samples were tested also for the presence of anti-HAV (IgM) by ELISA technique to establish the diagnosis of acute viral hepatitis type A.4- Sera with negative results for the markers of both type A and B y!epatJt.2S. wey’e- f^y±hey}y tested fey JffM ^ftfyvp^J}’^ snti^cd^ to E9V by ELISA technique to exclude infection by infectious aononucleosis and tested for anti CMV (IgM) by ELISA technique to exclude infection with CHV.Sera with negative results for the markers of type A, B, CMV, EBV hepatitis, were furtherly tested for anti-HCV by ELISA technique to establish the diagnosis of viral hepatitis type C. |
