Abstract This study consisted of a prospective randomized controlled clinical trial comparing two management options for patients undergoing lapamscopic cholecystectoiny and suspected of liarbouritlg cointnon bile duct stones .Sixty seven patients (50 Females and 17 Males) of median age of 63 year ,were randomized into two groups using random table generator, the randomization treatment groups are :Group A: (two stages) preoperative ERC with ES and stone extraction (if stone was found) followed by lqaroscopic cholecystectomy, the time interval between ERCP and LC was optional.Group B: (single stage) laparoscopic cholecystectomy and intmqxrative choangiography and, if there was stones, laparoscopic stone extraction either by relaxant-flushing, trans-cystic dtrct route, by kqmrmqic choledochotomy or on table ERCP. |
