Abstract
The present study was designed to evaluate by echocardiography in a prospective fashion, the impact of kidney
transplantation on the cardiac abnormalities especially its effects on
the left ventricular size and function in patients with end-stage renal
failure awaiting renal transplantation.
The present study comprised 50 patients with chronic renal
failure maintaned on regular hemodialysis in preparation for liverelated
renal transplantation.
