Abstract

The conventional control unit is usl18lly a constru.ctional
unit which is designed to do certain function.Therefore
it is produced in limitted scale Which cost too mu.ch~Considering
this unit as a set of elements connected with certain
arrangement depends on its aim, since no doubt that the design
and study of the static and dynamic performanoe of these
elements, can explain to what extend are these elements used
to construct industrial pnellDlatic u.n1ts as ( low-pass filter’~
controllers, set-point device •••• etc)
The following pne~tic elements have been constructed,
they are ( constant and variable resistance, pneumatic follower,
summator,condenser, amplifier and nozzle-baffle valve). Every
element has been tested UDderthe range of pressures of ( ~~
0.75 atm) snd frequ~cies of ( 0 - l~~ rad/s). The experiment-
. .
al results have been compared with theoretical ones as the
d~ferences are minimized as well.
As for the oonstructed u.n1ts, most of them showed
successful results, that agreed with the conventional units~
The perfo’rmance of other units like ( P-D and P-I controllers)
are greately deviated from the conventional ones, this
deviation is related to t he low gain of the proposed snplifier t
which can be modified to give satisfied resal ts.
The production of industrial units by the proposed method
is cheeper and more easy to be constructed as well, than the conventional Wlits 1188,,”·. now. It is also possible
to produ.oe other ami ts u.sing the same technique.
