Abstract Hydrochloric acid concentration, mucin content and peptic activity are important in the etiology of peptic ulcer. Calcium antagonists are a new group of drugs used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Little investigations had ”been illustrated on the effect of calcium antagonists on the gastric secretion. In this work, an attempt was made to clarify the effect of calcium antagonist ”nifedipine” on gastric secretion and its possible protective effect on induced uleer in ratfi. This work was carried out experimentally on 56 normal male albino rats. |
