Abstract
Water is the most important element affects on the human
life. For this the water treatment became very essential for
producing potable water for drinking and all human activites.
The water sources in Egypt are mainly River Nile & its
branches. The water treatment for this water was made by using
convential system of water treatment. After the construction of
the High Dam the absence of big suspended solids affects the
water plants efficency & DROP the water quality to min. level.
This covered by increasing the additives for water treating. So,
increasing the costs of the process which affects on the price
of this servi ce.
Researches were done to overcome this problem. This study
covers the use of direct rapid filtration using contact flocculation
before it The study use different concentrations of
