Abstract
Immunology deals with the specific mechanisms by which living tissue reacts to foreign biological materials. Substances capable of inducing an immune response on their own are termed immunogens, haptens are simple chemicals which are incapable by themselves to evoke an immune reponse. Humoral immunity is B- cell mediated. Cell-mediated immunity is T-cell mediated. Schistosomiasis is the most prevalent disease in egypt and hence most of the researchers are dealing with this disease and its complications .
