Abstract
The rural studies differ from their match in the urban regions because of the difference in social composition in addition to the life style in those villages and reaching to the acquaintance on the problems that citizens in the rural villages are exposed to.
This thesis introduces the built up study, the demographic study, the economic study, the environmental study, and the infrastructure study in the Egyptian rural villages.
The methodology applied in this thesis has two folds: First is to identify the most important problems-from the point of views of built up, environmental, social, and economic problems that the citizens in most Egyptian villages are exposed to. Second is to recognize the projects with the priority which would lead to the achievement of sustainable development in the Egyptian villages.
Most Egyptian villages suffer from many of the social problems, a severe inability in the services, and research centers having insufficient studies that cares for this kind of demographic assemblies despite the fact that these regions represent a high percentage of Egypt’s population.
The election program of the His Excellency the President considers the necessity of the preparation of strategic plans for the development of the Egyptian rural villages and this is a true indication for the necessity of care to that kind of demographic assemblies.
The objective of the work presented here is to apply sustainability at different applications levels (buildings, neighborhood and local level). The research \vill focus on the local level that will be applied on rural local regions. By the aid of the development cycle of sustainable development a strategic plan is applied to AI-Dalgamoun village in Kafr- AIZiat-Algharbia Governorate.
