Abstract
A study of deroofin as a method for th surgical
removal of impacted mandibular third molars has been. performed *
The material consisted of sixteen healthy patients
having bilateral impacted lower third molars that
were in need of surgical removal
The impacted lower third molars in the right side (study group) and the left side (control group) were identical in both the type and the situation according to radiographic examination usig periapical and panoramic films
The patients were of both sexes and aged 16—30 years with a mean of 23 years. Each patient served as his or her own control . The impacted lower third molars in the right side (study group) and in the left side (control group) were removed surgically in the same visit.
