Abstract
This work concerns 30 patients with tuberculous pleural effusion and 10 normal volunteers.
For the object of this study the 30 patients were divided into 3 groups, each of 10 patients.
- Patients of group (1) uere subjected to tests of
pulmonary function and blood gases before treatment and after
one month and after 3 months of treatment. The patient uas
hospitalized with medical supervision along the course of
treatment.
- Patients of group (2) were subjected to tests of
pulmonary function and blood gases after 6 months of treat¬
ment at home without medical supervision.
- Patients of group (3) were subjected to tests of
pulmonar function and blood gases after 12 months of treatment
at home without medical supervision.
