Abstract
Nowadays thu term trauma is widely used to signify injury on a wide scale.Yet it does not always give an idea about the outcome of trauma.
The term trauma, ws yi--n(;ral 1 y understood, means an injury (for instance a wound) inflicted by a force upon a living tissue.0’
Trauma continues to be the leading cause of death for people under the aye of 40 years. It can be considered to be endemic in the world at large. Its causes are largely man made except during natural disasters. It should, to a great extent, be preventable if man gives the priority and attention it deserves.
