Abstract

Fascioliasis is one of most importoant problems among the parasitic infection in Egypt. It cause greatest loss of meat in sheep , cattle and buffaloes, liver damage in living animals and liver condemended in slaughtered animals. Also losses of production, weight ,and inability to work.
Paramphistomum is a world wide snail-borne disease of wild and domestic ruminants caused by immature flukes in the small intestine.
The present study was undertaken in order to complete the biochemical picture of fasciola and paramphistoma infestation of sheep through determination of serum total protein , albumin, globulin and individual amino acids.
Experiment:-
A total number of fifty six grazing sheep from two flockes were used in this investigation , the animals under study were divided into two groups:
The first group composed of 20 infested fasciola sheep and 8 free sheep used as a (control).
The second group composed of 20 paramphistomum infested sheep and 8 free sheep used as a (control).
Tne control sheep were clinically healthy and free from interral, external and blood parasites , their age ranged from 3-4 years.
The fasciola infested animals were suffering from emaciation loss of weight, anaemia, DROP in production and some had bottle Jaw.
