Abstract
This work consists of four parts: Part 1: Enaminone as key intermediate in the synthesis of new heterocyclic compounds.1. 4 -Acetylpyridine (1) is converted into the corresponding 3-(dimethylamino)-1-(pyridin-4-yl)prop-2-en-1-one (2) by refluxing with DMF/DMA reagent in dry xylene. 2. Reactions of enaminone 2 with different nitrogen and carbon nucleophile. Part 2: reactions of some new acetohydrazide derivatives. Part 3: biological activity and molecular modeling.
