Abstract

Utility of Ketonic sec-Mannich Bases in Synthesis of Mixed bis(Mannich Bases) and Related Compounds. The present work is largely concerned with attempts to extend the scope of the Mannich reaction to include the synthesis of some new mixed bis(Mannich bases), which possess considerable synthetic and pharmaceutical interest. PART 2 : Synthesis of Some New Mannich Bases and Mixed Mannich Bases Related to Succinimide and Benzamide. This study is concerned with attempts to extend the scope of Mannich reaction with succinimide or benzamide to include the synthesis of a new series of N-Mannich bases and bis(N-Mannich bases) which possess considerable synthetic and pharmaceutical interest. PART 3: Antimicrobial Activity of New Synthetic Mixed Bis(Mannich Bases) Related to Ketones, Succinimide and Benzamide. The N-Mannich bases derived from NH-heterocycles and their derivatives have received significant attention due to their wide range of biological and pharmacological activities. In particular, much interest has centered on ketonic tert-Mannich bases which possess a broad spectrum of action including anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antibacterial, antimycobacterial, antifungal, anticonvulsant, anthelmintic, anticancer and anti-HIV activities, therefore the antimicrobial activity of the new synthetic mixed bis(Mannich bases) was expected.
