Abstract

The present study dealt with the Solvation Parameters and Biological Assessment of Some Salts Interacted with Different Antidiabetic drugs in Solutions. The obtained results can be summarized as follow: 1- Conductivity measurements for copper, cobalt, chromium chloride and vanadyl sulfate in a binary mixed solvent with alcohol mass fraction of 0%, 30%, and 60% (DMF-H2O) at (298.15, 303.15, 308.15 and 313.15) K different temperatures have been reported. The conductivity data have been analyzed using the Fuoss- shedlovsky equation. 2- The solvation association thermodynamic parameters for used metals in presence of MF as a ligand in 60% DMF-H2O mixed solvents are greater than in water and 30% DMF-H2O mixed solvents. 3- The results indicate that the formation constant in case of MF is more in general than that with GL. 4- The results also indicated that the metals formed relatively stable complexes with ligand in solution with molar ratio 1:2, 1:1 [M: L] stoichiometric complexes for CuCl2, CoCl2, CrCl3 and VOSO4 with MF, and GL. 5- The values of Gibbs free energy of association and formation become more negative gives an indication of the association process is spontaneous in nature. The positive value of the enthalpy change is indicating that the association and formation process is endothermic. 6- The voltammogram of VOSO4 shows only one cathodic and one anodic peak. 7- The voltammogram of CuCl2 shows two cathodic and two anodic peaks, which indicate the oxidation process occurred by a two-step, each step contains one electron transfer, and the same occurred at the reverse scan. 8- The voltammogram of CoCl2 shows two cathodic peaks, but only one anodic peak in low concentration and this anodic peak are split into two peaks at high concentration. 9- results displayed that MF acted as a neutral bidentate ligand. The electronic spectra suggested a square pyramidal geometry for vanadyl complexes, tetragonally distorted octahedral configuration for copper and chromium complexes. But GL acted as mononegative bidentate ligand with Cu(II), Co(II), and VO(II) but with Cr(III) acted as neutral bidentate ligand. Moreover, the geometry of the isolated complexes was predicted by the DFT method. 10- The biological application studying the toxicity of the anti-diabetics and their complexes by determined the activity of liver enzymes (ALT and AST) and kidney functions (creatinine and BUN) and also investigate liver and kidney architectures. from obtained results we can say that Cr(III) complexes, CuMF and GL has mild toxic effect on liver , CoMF complex appeared very toxic effect on liver but vanadyl complexes has the best results on both liver and kidney. All synthesis complexes have no harmful effect on kidney except CoMF.
