Abstract

In this thesis, we proposed two different approaches for the design of broadband polarization-independent wide-angle metamaterial plasmonic absorbers. One of the major problems facing us is finding materials that achieve strong plasmonic behavior in the visible regime and in the same time are abundant in the nature and cheap materials. The study of the design steps and the materials composites were utilized in it, are demonstrated clearly with design dimensions changing. Numerical simulation based on finite difference time domain method (FDTD) that applied to find solutions for wave’s interactions and electromagnetic waves distributions. The study shows that the absorber is working in the visible band with average absorption 98.53%. Moreover, the proposed absorbers exhibit both angle and polarization independency. Furthermore, we utilized the proposed design to help for light detection applications in different frequency regimes.
