Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of the finishing and polishing, on surface roughness and bacterial adhesion on three different machinable ceramics Conclusions: Both the surface treatment of the material and the type of ceramic affect the bacterial adhesion . Glazing of ceramics provided smoother surfaces than polished surfaces irrespective to the tested ceramic materials. And as a result the glazing accumulate less bacteria than polishing. Ceramill Zolid provided better results in terms of surface roughness and bacterial adhesion in comparison to IPS e.max CAD and Vita Enamic
