Abstract

This study aimed to assess the relationship between personality profile to nurses to work as a predictor of anxiety and depression disorders within the relation. The study was carried out at El-Mahala general hospital. Descriptive observational subjects (102) of nurses participated in the study. Data were collected using three questionnaires sheets: the first is the socio -demographic characteristics of the study sample.The second sheet is The Eysenck personality inventory procedure includes 57 items for assessing the personality traits as important depositions toward feeling and behaviors, theory involved neuroticism- stability and extraversion -introversion dimensions.The extraversion dimension represents sociality, were defined as enjoying, social interactions, energetic and preferring social situations to loneliness. It was proposed that the neuroticism dimension indicated emotional instability and reactiveness and that individuals who score high on this dimension tend to be anxious, depressed overly emotional, shy and low self-esteems.And the third is The Depression Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS) 21 items for measuring depression, anxiety and stress. Depression refers to low levels of positive affect, e.g., hopelessness, lack of energy and anhedonia, while Anxiety refers to a mixture of general distress such as irritability, agitation, difficulty relaxing and impatience.
