Abstract

In the present study, five sources of groundwater located in [(Sandoub (Mansoura city), Nawsa El-Gheit (Aga city), Kafr El- Genina (Nabrouh city), Qlabsho (Belqas city) and EL-Amra (Manzala city)], Dakahlia governorate were subjected to physical, chemical and biological analyses. A total of 60 water samples (one monthly from each groundwater sources) were evaluated and tabulated for statistical analysis, Pearson’s correlation and linear regression analyses during the period from August 2016 to July 2017. A total of 20 water samples (one seasonally from each groundwater sources) required for biological analyses were collected in the time of sampling. The microscopic examination was performed by using 3 dyes (Giemsa, Ziehl Neelsen, Alcoholic Eosin and Methylene-Blue) to identify and discriminate the protozoans and different algae. R2A Agar media was used to grow all types of bacteria, in addition to 3 different specific media (M-ENDO agar, M-FC agar and M-ENTEROCOCCUS agar) to reveal total coliforms, fecal coliforms, and fecal enterococcus.
