Abstract
The present work aimed to investigate the influence of γ- irradiation for seeds of Vicia faba on the metabolites and enzymes after Pb treatment of plants. γ- irradiation of Vicia faba seeds resulted in an increased Pb content in roots and reduced content in leaves. The antioxidant enzymes: SOD, APX, GPX and GR & metabolic enzymes G3PDH, SDH, 6PGDH and NR were induced by γ- irradiation. Combination treatments showed more induction for their activities compared with Pb treatment alone.
