المستخلص

All organizations aim to achieve profit, which is one of the top priorities of their goals, and at the same time the organizations will not neglect or forget, intentionally or unintentionally, the statistical methods to develop the quality of their products, which leads to the organizations bearing intangible costs resulting from the poor quality of their products. Precisely for this reason, the percentage of sales of American and European industries decreased, and was overtaken by the Japanese industry. All this thanks to the Japanese industry’s reliance on statistical methods to develop the quality of its products throughout the production process. The method of statistical control of the process is one of the most important methods in the field of quality control. Its basis was established by Walter A. Shewhart who was working in the American Bell Laboratories for telephones in the twenties of the last century, and he created statistical quality control charts, and many researchers have contributed to the application of statistical quality control charts. Most of these researches assume that the data continuously follows the normal distribution, and hence its use was easy to apply, but if the data had a skewed distribution as in the case of this study; It is not possible to use the quality control charts suggested by Walter shewhart, and this research aims to use alternative quality control charts that depend on the Skewness Correction method.The study recommends the use of individual chart based on the Skewness Correction method to control the quality of the production process of the drinking water and wastewater station (East Mansoura).
