The study examines the role of zakat in achieving economic development and overcoming the economic problem, which has puzzled scholars in their research about bringing society to the stage of development and achieving prosperity for the people of the whole world .So we discussed the economic problem in all economic systems, starting from the oldest systems until this day of the people, and especially in the two capitalist systems with its different developments, starting from the ommercial, the natural, the traditional, the new traditional, and the nterventionist capitalist system. We talked about the socialists ’attempts to achieve economic development with the tools of the socialist system and plan all life paths, however all these attempts failed .And we presented the Islamic legal view in its attempts to overcome the economic problem and the difference between its view of the economic problem with the view of positive economics .We discussed the role of zakat in economic development, which is one of the pillars of Islam, and how we reach through it, using simple economic tools, to developing society financially and morally, through the roles of zakat in human development and its role in investing zakat funds, which, if correctly expressed, is a huge economic engine for everything. The economy is hit by crises .
