Abstract

Metal organic Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are class of porous materials. MOFs are prepared from self-assembly of metal node (metal ion or cluster of metal atom) with organic linker through coordination bond to form one-, two-, three dimensional framework. In this thesis, we prepared Al-MIL-53 MOF and modified with different wt% sulfamic acid. The prepared samples were used for Catalytic activity of 3,4-dihydropyrimidinone, and 7-hydroxy-4-methyl coumarin Removal of organic dyes like methylene blue (MB), congo red (CR) and removal of Pb2+.Also The prepared samples were characterized by using X-ray, FT-IR, SEM, EDS, XPS and TGA. The results show that 50wt %SA/Al-MIL-53 gives high yield in synthesis of of 3,4-dihydropyrimidinone and 7-hydroxy-4-methyl coumarin. 25wt%SA/Al-MIL-53 gives maximum adsorption capacity for adsorption of MB, CR and Pb2+. Langmuir is the best isotherm applied for adsorption. The pseudo second order is the best kinetic model to represent the adsorption of MB, CR and Pb2+.
