Abstract

Services multiplication and development are accelerating in our current time, in addition to difference in the status of those targeted from those services, which made the development of displaying and delivering services techniques is imperative. University services are one of the most important services that branch off into many types of services, including educational, administrative, recreational services, and others. Campus goers are not necessarily aware of the sites providing these services or the knowledge required about them through which they can determine the possibility of benefiting from them. The main goal of this study is to build an intelligent geographic system based on smartphones to improve university services. The proposed system is used to help campus goers to see a summary of those services with the possibility of directing to reach them geographically through using their smartphone which makes the spread of these services among the targeted people on a wide scale. The proposed system adopted in designing on two main parts; geographic database (Geo DB) using fire base technique from Google and Android Environment for map activates. This study used spiral model in developing. The proposed system implemented via Android Studio 4.0 developed by Google, JetBrains and written in java, Genymotion device manager 2.9.0 using Android Open Source Project (AOSP) versions; 4.3, 5.1.0, and 7.1.0 for virtual testing, real filed testing conducted using Sony M4 and Huawei Nova plus devices. Finally, the obtained result show that there is a real feasibility of using the application, accurate results and good timing in alerting and introducing university services.
