Abstract In this thesis, we tried to study the structural characterization, catalytic activity and adsorption for one of the most important metal phosphates which is tin (IV) phosphate (SnP) and its modification with AS and SA. 1. Preparation of SnP, AS/SnP and SA/SnP SnP was prepared under hydrothermal synthesis from SnCl4.5H2O and H3PO4 (0.9 M). SnP was modified by impregnating suitable weights of ammonium sulfate and sulfamic acid. 2. Structural characterization of SnP, AS/SnP and SA/SnP Structural characterization of the samples has been done by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermal analysis, TEM and EDS techniques. 3. Applications of SnP, AS/SnP and SA/SnP We followed two chemical catalytic reactions: 1. Synthesis of 3, 4-dihydropyrimidinone and 14- phenyl -14H-dibenzo [a,j] xanthene compounds. Adsorption studies were followed with 0.03g for SnP, AS/SnP and SA/SnP samples for efficient removal of Pb (II) under conditions of pH 5, the initial concentration was 25 mg/l and the adsorption reached equilibrium after 3 hrs. |
