Abstract

Architectural model is the output of architecture design and is describing the system as a set of communicating components. where architecture design defines structural components and relationships between them, hence software architecture is designed at two levels of abstraction; architecture of individual programs and system architecture. Architecture of individual program implements the functional system requirements, while non-functional system characteristics are achieved by the system architecture. Because non-functional requirements of the system related to the quality which is represented in performance, security, availability, safety and maintainability, they are more critical than functional requirements. The relationship between non-functional requirements and system architecture is close. The selection of the system architecture is the most important step in software engineering lifecycle. Unfortunately, selecting a suitable architecture that meets enterprise’s target for current and long term is a hard mission especially in inconsistence state and semi-close expected performance in some cases of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservice architecture (MSA). This thesis handles three main system architectures; monolith, SOA and MSA, which are used in enterprises and are supported by strong venders in enterprise resource planning system (ERPS) field. This thesis focuses on providing a guide roadmap for applying transformation-system architecture for Enterprise resource planning system. The roadmap consists of Benchmark and Transformation-Architecture Decision Model supported with Neutrosophic-ANP. The decision model consists of system assessing, decision making and decision implementing steps. The decision is made by using Neutrosophic set instance of classical set or fuzzy >because of accuracy. Analytic Network Process (ANP) approach is selected from different Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) approaches because of the dependency in criteria and its inclusiveness in description of criteria-VII alternative’s relationship. The execution part provides a migration-system architecture in step-by-step from current architecture to another one. Furthermore, the thesis provides adoption decision model for ERP with Neutrosophic-AHP. The empirical comparative between Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Fuzzy-AHP (FAHP) and Neutrosophic-AHP proves the accuracy of Neutrosophic and importance of multi-criteria in decision especial for AHP. The results of this thesis answers ’how ERPS select’, ’when architecture transform’, ’to which architecture migrate’ and ’how apply the migration decision’. Furthermore, it helps software consultant, system architect, developer or enterprise managers (chief executive officer (CEO), chief financial officer (CFO), chief human resources officer (CHRO), general manager (GM), and< marketing manager) by recommending suitable system architecture for information system whether in developing current system or adopting a new system. By Evaluation Form for assessing current state of ERPs, the thesis contributes in filling gap in searches that interested in ERPS’s postimplementation phase. Also, thesis decreases the gap between academic searches and industrial implementation in evaluation system architecture and enterprise information system and also in decision making. Furthermore, it tries filling gap in partly lacking in providing a benchmark of monolith, SOA and MSA that reflects the characteristics especial in industrial Microservices-basedsystems.
