Study summary: Social and emotional problems derive their significance from their growing influence in the overall life of the individual, while academic problems affect the individual’s position in the academic fields. Social and emotional problems affect multiple different forms in different aspects of the individual’s personality in terms of social and emotional compatibility. University students constitute an important class of society because they represent the force that will provide it with young energies prepared scientifically and culturally qualified, and since educational institutions in general - and universities in particular – represent a social control force through which the reference framework that directs the behavior of young people is achieved, one of the primary tasks of these institutions is: The development of responsibility, as well as the willingness to sacrifice for the sake of others among these young people, which leads to giving them the right social values and standards. And universities are a fertile field in which the perceptions of mature learners mature and qualify them to realize the knowledge and its demand, and helps them to know theories and curricula, and gives them the ability to address all other fields, and universities are among the institutions that affect the preparation of the university student and the advancement of societies, because they affect their behavior, and direct them the proper direction that achieves Positive and successful interaction with the community in which they live. Likewise, any development or enlightenment in the movement of society or updating some of its values and concepts cannot be effective if young people - especially university students - do not represent it, interact with it and contribute to its leadership, so the university should work to solve The problems facing students, creating the appropriate atmosphere, opportunities, events, YIN activities and programs that help them to balanced growth in all aspects (scientific, physical, mental, emotional, national and social) and providing them with the skills and experiences that make them good citizens in society. Higher education is witnessing a huge boom in the countries of the world since the middle of the twentieth century, and still extends until now in the third millennium, including quantitative expansion and attention to quality, diversity and relevance in many countries of the developed and developing world. Objectives of the study : The current study seeks to achieve a major goal, which is to identify the most important social and cultural problems for Libyan students at Mansoura University, Included in this goal are a set of sub-goals, which are: 1. Determine the most important social problems facing international students. 2. To reveal the most important cultural problems facing international students. 3. Reaching the relationship between international students, Egyptian students, and university employees. 4. Show the most important efforts made by the university to overcome the problems facing international students. 5. Finding the most important suggested solutions to overcome the problems faced by international students. Methodological procedures for the field study: A-Type of study: This study is considered descriptive and analytical field studies, as this type of descriptive studies depends on gathering facts, analyzing and interpreting them to extract their significance to reach generalizations about the problem that the researcher is studying. B-Curriculum: Each research has a curriculum that is easy to follow and the appropriate curriculum is closely related to each of the research topic on the one hand and its goals on the other hand, and in line with the current study and its goals, the social survey method has been used, and the social survey method is considered one of the most important tools of data collection in the social sciences, and it is used to collect information Widely and on many research topics. Therefore, the social survey method was used to limit the number of Libyan students over the past years and get to know them and their characteristics. B- Study tools: Since it is necessary to have consistency and coherence between the methodological framework of the study and the tools used to collect its data. With regard to the study tools, the current study used more than one tool, including the questionnaire. The researcher designed a sample of questions that were directed to Libyan students to see the problems and difficulties facing these students, and this tool has benefited in strengthening the research material in some aspects or phenomena that he found to be in her assertion, she needs to shed light on it in a quantitative way. Moreover, the researcher relied on the observation tool with participation as an important tool in the field material collection methods. The importance of the observation is that it is the preliminary way to collect preliminary data on the study community. After applying the questionnaire to the study sample, the researcher used the statistical program (SPSS) to analyze the results extracted from the forms. D- The study population and sample: The research community defines that ”a group of elements has one or several common characteristics that distinguish it from other elements on which research or investigation is conducted” (and in order to prove the questions of the study, Mansoura University was chosen. where the form was distributed to a sample of (150) individuals using the random sample method, so that the sample includes a diverse group of Libyan students coming to Mansoura University. Results : • The results of the study confirmed that the majority of the sample of the study confirm that they are studying outside their country due to the lack of specialization to be studied, and they also confirm that the reason for their studies at the university is the lack of college graduate studies in their country, and also because of the lack of members of the Academic Supervision Authority, and they study outside their country because The short period specified for obtaining the academic degree is the opposite of the country of the foreign student, as it is taking place in their country of wars, crises and political fluctuations that affect the level of educational institutions in their country. • The results of the study revealed that the respondents assert that they chose Mansoura University because of the existence of modern educational programs, the scientific reputation and official recognition of the university certificate, as they chose Mansoura University because of the integrated services ”educational, sports, health, and entertainment”, as Mansoura University occupies an educational level with A higher level of educational institutions in the country of international students. The results of the study resulted in the majority of the study sample obtaining their information about Mansoura University through the Internet and through friends and acquaintances, and through advertisements, as the Internet has a great media and promotional role for the university, and also indicates the effectiveness of the word transmitted between ”friends and acquaintances” who have previously Study at this university, and the university should invest them as an important source of information and a promotional tool for transferring information and attracting more students. • The results of the study revealed that one of the most important problems facing them in the registration procedures for graduate studies at Mansoura University is the delay in the result of admission and the slow procedures for joining the university, and there is difficulty in choosing the topic of scientific research, as they emphasize that some of the faculty members are exposed to registration for the student, and they confirm that the student’s lack of knowledge The expatriate with the methods of scientific research is one of the problems facing them in the registration procedures for postgraduate studies at Mansoura University.
