The problem of the current study crystallized around the question that what role can the elite play in facing the problem of the absence of the cultural identity of youth? The sub-questions that follow are as follows: ● What are the dimensions of the cultural identity of youth? ● What are the manifestations and causes of the cultural identity crisis for young people? ● What are the social and cultural variables affecting the cultural identity of youth? Far from converging or sometimes overlapping concepts, and sociologists and political scientists theorizing about the concept of the elite, the researcher has procedurally defined them as people who enjoy approval and acceptance in society. They can influence its members in one way or another, and the elites in societies are multiplied by the multiplicity of tendencies and interests. However, the presence of some of them has become an inevitable necessity in society. For what you do. It performs important functions, the most important of which are the religious elite, the political elite, and the social elite, and the latter includes intellectuals, writers, pen owners, art stars, sports stars, or what has been reformed as (soft power), and if we move to the issue of cultural identity, the proposal The researcher for this issue was through its four components and elements “language, religion, customs and traditions, history and heritage.” These are the building blocks that intertwine to form an impenetrable wall against currents of intellectual invasion, and attempts to blur and distort the cultural identity of the members of society as a whole, and youth in particular. The study concluded several results, the most important of which were: 1- The study found some manifestations and causes of the cultural identity crisis for young people. 2- The study also found a correlation between the variable “gender, religion, age group, marital status, educational level, occupation” as intermediate variables, and between “the sources from which young people derive their cultural information, the concept of cultural identity among young people, the language used by young people On social networking sites, the sources from which young people derive their religious information, young people’s view of the term defect, the concept of loyalty and belonging to the state among young people. 3- The study also found that the elite aspire to important roles in society to harm the issue of cultural identity, represented by being models and role models themselves and the focus of many young people’s eyes, and even the focus of society as a whole, and accordingly they influence its members with their attitudes, appearance and words, and their preservation of traditions Cultural as a form of preserving the local culture to enhance the cultural identity in the hearts of members of the community. 4- The study also concluded that the elite have a key role in raising awareness, guidance and counseling, urging and exhorting to adhere to all that is virtue, and to renounce and abandon all that is vice, and to contribute to achieving achievements in various fields, each according to his position and specialization. 5- The study also concluded that the role of the elite in society does not go beyond five roles: “making awareness, contributing to the achievement industry, maintaining achievement, formulating governance mechanisms, and changing values ​​and behaviors in society.
