The phenomenon of disability is among the social phenomena that societies around the world have witnessed a significant increase in recent times, and so far it is still the obstructing problem for many individuals with all its negative repercussions, whether psychologically, socially, health or educational, as well as on society in terms of the impact of this social group on Its stability, growth and development as a disabled human energy, that the special groups in society must be given adequate care as they are part of society and have the ability to contribute to its construction and promotion. The family is the first social unit in which people with special needs are raised, as they come into close contact with it daily. Among other social institutions, it is the first and basic institution responsible for preparing people with special needs and preparing them for social life, to be an effective and good member of society. Not to mention that it has great importance in the lives of people with special needs, especially in the early years of their life, as the whole world of people with special needs. Adaptation of people with special needs with themselves, their family and their society depends on building strong family relationships and cohesion among its members (mother, father, and brothers in particular) and taking into account the independence and integration of their personality (intellectually, psychologically, emotionally…). takes place by satisfying the basic organic needs of people with special needs. The mother, when working to satisfy the needs of her child, is in the process of laying the first building block for socialization, before the rest of the various institutions involved in this process come after that. There is no doubt that providing counseling programs for families of disabled children can support their role and participation in improving and developing some skills related to the social behavior of their disabled children through their participation in the implementation of the program and the positive results that may result in this regard that help the child to Actively engage in society and then protect society from many social diseases that may arise as a result of our neglect of this category of its members.. Based on the foregoing, the problem of the current study is formed in revealing the impact of family counseling programs on the socialization of people with special needs. The problem of the current study lies in explaining the effects that the presence of a disabled child leaves among family members, and the effects may differ from one family to another according to their social, economic and cultural levels, in addition to the gender and severity of disability and the building of the family. The birth of a disabled child to the family affects all of its members, but parents are the most Affected by the fact that they are going through a number of social, psychological and emotional pressures, and the material burdens that result from this disability fall on their shoulders, in addition to their long journey between educational and treatment programs recommended by specialists. The family is the first social institution that receives a child with special needs, and provides him with family care compatible with his needs. The effects of sound social roles among family members are reflected on the psychological life of parents and children, especially in the childhood stage, which is the stage of psychological construction and discovery of the situation for the child with special needs. Through a group of specialized educational programs that are provided to categories of non-public individuals There is no doubt that family counseling programs can support the role of families in improving and developing some skills related to the social behavior of their disabled children and the positive results that can result in this The connection works to help the child to engage effectively in society and then protect society from many social diseases that may arise as a result of our neglect of this group of its members. Guidance also plays an important role in parents’ acceptance of their children with special needs without boredom, and then training, rehabilitation or development Child skills. The importance of this study is due to the fact that it deals with an important group in society, namely people with special needs. The subject of the study also deals with the impact of family counseling programs on the social upbringing of people with special needs. from the impact on the social upbringing of the individual in general and those with special needs in particular, they are more deserving of care and attention in anticipation of the future and in order to ensure the safety and balance of society. Children at this age need continuous guidance and counseling in order to achieve the demands of their growth in a sound manner by laying the scientific foundations for their care and education. The study sought to identify the role of family counseling programs in the social upbringing of people with special needs, and to reveal the impact of family counseling programs on the social upbringing of people with special needs. On families with children with special needs. The study came out with many results, the most important of which are:  The results of the field study show the role of the family in raising children with special needs, including: applying educational and therapeutic programs for the child, acquiring competence, social skills and daily life skills, participating in their various activities and positive interaction with them, realizing and understanding the emotions of their children and looking at things from their perspective, reducing behavioral problems emotional, and parents’ satisfaction of the child’s social needs.  The results of the field study indicated the role of family guidance programs in the socialization of children with special needs, improving interaction and increasing normal social development, achieving a high level of social efficiency and effectiveness, organizing the surrounding environment and preparing them to face potential changes, and helping to develop their abilities to express and develop verbal communication. Communicating with others and sharing their activities, helping them to perform the tasks required of them successfully, and developing their ability to engage peers in playing.  The results of the field study revealed the impact of family counseling programs on improving the child’s social interaction skills, increasing their social interaction with peers, organizing the surrounding environment and preparing them to face potential changes, helping them to perform the tasks required of them successfully, developing their ability to share peer play, and helping them to perform the tasks required of them successfully. to develop their verbal ability.  The results of the field study showed the effect of family counseling programs on social skills and social interaction as a therapeutic approach, by reducing many psychological and emotional disorders, reducing many behavioral disorders, improving interaction and increasing normal social development, and achieving a high level of efficiency and social effectiveness.  The results of the field study revealed the benefits that accrue to the family from the application of family counseling programs, because they provide them with the most important skills and methods necessary for his upbringing, care, training, exploitation and development of his abilities, and provide the family with special information about their son’s condition, its causes and methods of prevention, and contributes to modifying the family’s attitudes and expectations towards the child. People with special needs, and the family’s view is modified to focus on the abilities and capabilities of its child instead of focusing on disability, and makes the family an appropriate tool and means for transmitting the impact of learning and training, and improving and developing the family’s responses and ways of dealing with the child. The study also reached several recommendations, the most important of which are:  The family is in dire need of obtaining treatment and counseling services to reduce the degree of pressure and reduce its impact on it, so that it can accept the situation of the child and coexist with it, and help it release its latent energies.  It is necessary to conduct more studies aimed at knowing the impact of family guidance programs in developing acceptable social behavior and reducing the rate of unacceptable social behavior.  Doing religious guidance for the families of the mentally handicapped that helps families accept their handicapped child and emphasizes that it is not a punishment from God, but rather a test from God Almighty for patience and belief in His space and destiny.  Changing the society’s negative view of the disabled child, because it increases the social, economic and psychological pressures on his family, and trying to integrate the disabled child with his family, his local community, his school, and society as a whole.  The need to pay attention to the design of programs and services that contribute to increasing the adaptation of persons with disabilities to the surrounding environment on the one hand, their acceptance of themselves and their feeling that they have a place in society and can contribute to public life.
