Abstract

Water and water resources are absolutely essential to protect the food supply and the environment for all living things. According to a survey of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the world, one billion people do not have access to clean and fresh water. Water pollution is increasing through the increase in agricultural and industrial activities and has greatly affected the quality of life and the ecosystem in the past few decades. Major toxic inorganic pollutants include metal ions, dyes, and phenols are some of the organic pollutants found in water, sewage, industrial waste, agricultural waste, oil spills, and nuclear waste. The removal of various toxic pollutants from industrial wastewater has become a major challenge so far. We can first remove the dyes present in the water by photocatalytic cracking, and a photocatalyst consisting of MIL-125 was prepared and improved by reduced graphene oxide and copper oxide. . Secondly, we can obtain fresh and clean water by desalination using solar energy using polyurethane foam. It was mixed with MIL-125, graphene oxide, silver and polyaniline. The amount of water loss was quantified and the temperatures on the surface of the foam were measured. Some pollutants were removed from the salty water and fresh water was obtained.
