Abstract The lack of a heritage building sustainable preservation systems in Egypt is due to the management strategy and how to execute it. With a growing emphasis in Egypt on the restoration and long-term preservation of heritage structures, a proposal was made to use the Heritage Building Information Modeling (HBIM) system to document and manage building information. This approach interacts with the building’s environmental evaluations, resulting in sustainable heritage building restoration. The case study was palace of El-Shenawy in Mansoura, a registered monument with poor restoration and maintenance management. The building’s restoration work began in 2011. The HBIM model includes the seven sustainable parts of the Egyptian Green Pyramid system, the authorized system, and coordinates the primary building information. , Egypt’s recognized system for appraising green buildings. The findings show that this method has enormous potential for the long-term preservation of Egypt’s heritage buildings. |
