Abstract

”Forming includes any process that depends on a group of elements that are united by specific organizational relationships that govern interactions between each other. Forming aims to specialize the architecture product from others so that it can be linked to human mind with unique characteristics. The process of architectural formation is a two-way process that is confined between mass and space, depending mainly on the optical properties such as form, size, material, proportion and transparency. But, what exactly does good architecture mean? How to consider man in all aspects, especially when anthropologists show that people always differ based on their background culture Few aspects in life affect the way you feel more than your surroundings, therefore when asking architects to build places, it is critical to consider human psychology at every part of the building. Architectural design may not accomplish its intended function without a good grasp of human behavior. As a result, we have to consider how human emotions influence Architecture design? The other principle represents the effect caused by the architecture itself through resonance which describes the phenomenon of increased amplitude that occurs when the frequency of a periodically applied force is equal or close to a natural frequency of the building on which it acts. These resonant frequencies affect users brain waves which affect their emotional states, this effect is called Bio-Effect of architecture. The main aim of this study is to set a fundamental methodology to merge the bio-effect of architecture in design process using simulation, side by side with environmental and functional characteristics. The study of how the architectural bio-effect suits the building function will improves the users experience and enhance new design approaches. However, many simulations software calculate resonance through geometry this research tests the effect of each forming element on resonance frequency using CST Microwave studio. The results shows that some elements have an effect on resonant frequency such as form, material, proportion and size. However, doors, windows and orientation have no effect and can be neglected through simulation process.
