Abstract
This work reviews the discovery of the specific opiate receptors which occur mainly in the centrel nervous system pert &snyder, 1973a, Simon et al., 1973
and in some extra central nervous system tissues (Larsson, 1978 and bruni et al., 1979). There are four different types of these receptors namly Mu, Delta, Keep and Sigma.
